The anticipation for Marvel’s upcoming superhero flick “Black Panther” is at an all time high. According to Fandago, Panther broke records by selling more advance tickets than any other superhero movie. In addition, it currently has a 99% by Rotten tomato, becoming one of the highest rated superhero movies of this decade.
Peter Howell of the Toronto Star says, “Rarely has a superhero origin story been as satisfying as Black Panther, which in many ways doesn’t feel like a typical Marvel movie – and more power to that.” In addition to dominating cinemas, the Kendrick Lamar produced sound track for the film comes out at midnight (February 9th), and early predictions show that it will top the iTunes Album Charts. “Black Panther” follows T’Challa who, after the events of “Captain America: Civil War,” returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to take his place as King.
Black Panther opens in theaters on February 16th.
